IHCH Consulting is an IBM Registered Business Partner. We provide a range of professional services covering IBM messaging (MQ) and IBM integration (App Connect Enterprise, IBM Integration Bus, IBM WebSphere Message Broker) products.
We provide a number of bespoke offerings covering product Health Checks, Performance Reviews and Performance Benchmarks.
Our lead consultant worked for IBM in their software development labs in Hursley delivering MQSeries Integrator version 2.0 in 1999 through to WebSphere Message Broker version 8. In this capacity they worked in a number of areas covering product development, software testing, support and performance engineering.
IHCH Consulting is enrolled on the IBM vNext (Beta) program for both MQ and App Connect Enterprise. We join regular updates calls with the product development teams and spend two weeks each year (June/July) in Hursley as part of this program. This provides us with the latest product information and visibility around what new features and functionality are in the pipeline. We have access to the vNext software which we evaluate and provide feedback to the IBM development teams.

Ian provides IHCH Consulting with the technical competencies across a wide range of messaging and integration technologies. Throughout his time at IBM, Ian developed an eye for detail whilst also understanding the broader technical complexities of delivering large scale enterprise solutions.
Ian has gone on to design, build and deliver enterprise integrations solutions across a wide range of industry sectors. These include the integration of financial trading systems, back-office and reconciliation systems, airport integration systems (airport management systems, the control tower and vendors), vehicle financing and asset management.
Ian has designed and run large scale performance benchmarks for a number of airports. These performance benchmarks (of core IIB and MQ technologies) have been run both offsite (on Amazon AWS EC2 instances) and onsite at the airports. The performance benchmarks were designed to confirm SITA Aero’s contractual requirements for the airports current and future growth (of flights and passenger numbers).
Ian is a committee member of the IBM Integration User Group (UK) which organizes the annual IBM Hursley user group meetings plus a number of other events (including meetups at IBM Southbank in London).
Colleen Hurworth
Practice Director
Colleen has 10 years of experience in small consultancy practice management, running day-to-day activities that include the marketing of our services and offerings, supplier negotiations, contract management and invoicing.
Prior to this Colleen worked in roles covering IT support services and application testing. Colleen has strengths in process definition and implementing controls to ensure the smooth running of the business thereby enabling the consultants to focus on delivering the services and offerings to our clients.
Colleen manages the IBM business partner program and identifies new business opportunities. Colleen also manages the IBM software downloads and licensing compliance.
